JOB POSTINGDESIGN ASSISTANT/SHOWROOM LEAD

FULL OR PART-TIME – PLEASE SPECIFY YOUR AVAILABILITY 

JOB DESCRIPTION 

To support the Design Team, undertaking duties & responsibilities required to contribute to the design of beautiful homes and offices, along with well nurtured client & vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will have high energy, a positive attitude, can multitask in a fast-paced environment, strong attention to detail, solid customer service skills, strong communication skills, and self-motivated with a desire to be a team player.  

 

GENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Assist designers in obtaining prices, samples, etc. for all projects 

  • Assist owners in day to day operations and requests as needed 

  • Tracking ordered selections for arrival dates 

  • Maintain/organize sample and catalogue libraries 

  • Produce presentation documents using Microsoft Office 

  • Detail and manage client specification sheets (Selections provided by the design team)  

  • Assist Design Team to specify and price all furnishings/accessories 

  • Assisting the Office Manager in general filing and inventory duties 

  • Detail interior design time budgets and manage correspondence for prospective and existing clients 

  • Review project/item pricing for accuracy 

  • Manage work orders for custom furniture, drapery, lighting, wallpaper, area rugs and décor 

  • Managing correspondence from vendors and suppliers for pricing and sampling  

  • Maintain the showroomand building’s appearance of exemplary cleanliness and precise product placement & pricing 

  • Storage/Inventory and Product Management is vital to the daily operation of our projects 

  • Manage client deliveries and whole home installations

  • Provide walk-in clients, couriers, suppliers, and trades with assistance  

  • Assist in answering the phones, redirecting calls and taking messages 

  • Assist in receiving incoming product and inspecting for quality control 

  • Manage damage claims  with various suppliers and vendors

  • Warehouse support 

 

SHOWROOM FOCUS

  • Ensure that each customer and client has an informative and positive experience

  • Exceptional Customer Service is a must, along with polished appearance and phone etiquette 

  • Show a sense of urgency, enthusiasm and excitement with the staff and customers  

  • Process payment for products/services  

  • Provide walk-in clients with assistance in all areas of the Showroom product lines 

  • Adhere to Atmosphere operational Procedures and Guidelines 

  • Assist with maintenance of the overall visual appearance of the store.     

  • Keeping Showroom meticulous, clean & organized is a must!

EXPERIENCE

  • You have minimum 3-5 years of high level custom service experience

  • Post secondary education preferred, but not required

  • Preference given to those with experience in the construction, home building, design and furnishings industries

 

COMPENSTATION 

  • Hourly Pay/Salary will commensurate with experience and availability   

  • Mileage reimbursement for use of car when required

  • Benefits and Bonus Package – Full-time employees ONLY – Probationary period applies.
